1. How We Judged Each Funnel Builder
Picking the best funnel builder 2026 has to offer depends on one question most comparison articles skip: where does your funnel end? A funnel that ends in a booked sales call needs a CRM, instant follow-up and reminders. A funnel that ends in a $27 checkout needs order bumps and one-click upsells. A course funnel needs delivery. The best builder for one is often the wrong one for another.
We have built more than 275 documented client funnels since 2019 on all six platforms below. We judged each on five things that actually move results:
- Page and checkout building: speed, templates, mobile quality, order bumps and upsells.
- CRM and pipeline: can a sales team work leads inside the same account?
- Follow-up automation: SMS, email, calls and reminders triggered in seconds.
- Tracking: how easily conversions and pipeline stages flow back to the ad platforms.
- Total cost: the plan price plus the extra tools you need to fill the gaps.
Pricing below is as of November 2026 and was checked against current published plan information. Plans change often, so confirm on each vendor's pricing page before you buy.
2. Quick Verdict and Pricing Table
| Platform | Best for | Monthly price as of November 2026 | Biggest gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| GoHighLevel | Booked-call lead gen, agencies | $97 Starter, $297 Unlimited, $497 SaaS Pro | Steeper learning curve, usage billed extra |
| ClickFunnels | Low-ticket product funnels | $97 Launch, $197 Scale, $297 Optimize | Thin CRM and SMS for sales teams |
| Systeme.io | Solo creators on a budget | Free plan, then $17, $47 and $97 | Limited SMS and sales pipeline depth |
| Kajabi | Course and membership businesses | $179 Basic, $249 Growth, $499 Pro | Expensive for pure lead gen |
| HubSpot | B2B teams with a sales department | Per-seat Starter; Professional tiers cost far more plus onboarding | Page builder is not funnel-first |
| Leadpages / Unbounce | Standalone landing pages | Varies by plan; check current pricing | No CRM or follow-up |
Annual billing lowers most of these prices. For a head-to-head on the two most common choices, see GoHighLevel vs ClickFunnels for lead generation.
3. GoHighLevel: Best for Booked-Call Lead Gen
GoHighLevel combines funnels, websites, forms, CRM, pipelines, two-way SMS, email, calendars, workflows and reputation tools in one account. As of November 2026 plans start at $97 a month for Starter, $297 for Unlimited and $497 for SaaS Pro, with a free trial and usage fees for SMS, calls and email on top.
Why we use it: the funnel and the follow-up live together. A form submission can trigger an SMS, an AI call and an email inside the first minute without any third-party glue. Across 60+ speed-to-lead deployments we measured a median first contact of 38 seconds, 84% of leads reached inside the first minute, and a 2.4x lift in lead-to-booking.
It also suits agencies. Sub-accounts, snapshots and white-labeling let one team manage many client accounts from a single login, which is why so many marketing agencies standardize on it.
Where it falls short: the interface is dense, the page builder is good rather than great, and a poorly planned account becomes messy quickly. Our full GoHighLevel review covers the pros and cons in detail, and our GoHighLevel agency page shows what we build on it.
4. ClickFunnels: Best Checkout for Product Funnels
ClickFunnels is still the most polished tool for checkout-led funnels. Order bumps, one-click upsells and downsells are built in, and the templates are designed around direct-response selling. As of November 2026 monthly plans are $97 Launch, $197 Scale and $297 Optimize, with discounts for annual billing.
Why we use it: for low-ticket products the checkout decides the economics. Our $847K low-ticket funnel used a $27 product with a $17 bump and recovered 112% of ad spend on day zero, and that structure depends on a frictionless checkout.
Where it falls short: sales teams need a real pipeline, two-way SMS and calendars with reminders, which usually means adding other tools. Compare it with a course platform in ClickFunnels vs Kajabi.
5. Systeme.io: Best Value for Solo Creators
Systeme.io covers funnels, email marketing, courses, a blog and affiliate management at a very low price. As of November 2026 there is a free plan, then Startup at $17 a month, Webinar at $47 and Unlimited at $97 on monthly billing.
Why it is worth a look: for a creator validating a first offer, it removes almost all cost. You can launch a lead magnet, a small product and an email sequence without paying for anything.
Where it falls short: once leads need calling, texting and pipeline management by a sales team, it runs out of road. We compare the two all-in-one options in GoHighLevel vs Systeme.io.
6. Kajabi: Best for Course Businesses
Kajabi is a course and membership platform with funnels, email and a checkout built in. As of November 2026 its public plans are Basic at $179 a month, Growth at $249 and Pro at $499, with lower rates on annual billing. The older entry plan is no longer offered to new customers.
Why it is worth a look: delivery is excellent. Students get a polished experience, and creators manage content, community and payments in one place.
Where it falls short: it is expensive if all you need is lead generation, and it is not built for appointment-driven sales. Many course businesses pair a front-end funnel elsewhere with Kajabi for delivery. Check transaction fees and contact limits on each tier too, since those change the real cost as the business grows.
7. HubSpot, Leadpages and Unbounce
HubSpot
HubSpot is a CRM first, with marketing tools around it. As of November 2026 its Starter tiers are priced per seat and relatively affordable, while Professional tiers jump substantially and typically carry a one-time onboarding fee. It is a strong choice for B2B teams with several reps, long sales cycles and reporting needs. It is overkill for most small service businesses. See GoHighLevel vs HubSpot for a direct comparison.
Leadpages and Unbounce
Dedicated landing page builders are fast and good at A/B testing single pages. Their plans and plan names have been changing, so check current pricing directly. The limitation is structural: they build pages, not funnels. You still need a CRM, follow-up, calendars and tracking from somewhere else.
Add server-side tracking. Browser pixels miss conversions, and our Conversions API setups recovered 31% more events, which changes who the ad algorithm targets.
8. What Each Stack Really Costs per Month
The plan price is the starting point, not the total. To compare fairly, list every job the funnel needs done and price the tool that does it:
- Pages and checkout. Every platform here covers this, with different levels of polish.
- CRM and pipeline. Included in GoHighLevel and HubSpot. Light or missing in ClickFunnels, Systeme.io, Kajabi and landing page builders.
- SMS and calling. Usage-billed in GoHighLevel. Usually a separate tool with the others.
- Calendar and reminders. Built into GoHighLevel and HubSpot. Often a separate scheduler elsewhere.
- Automation glue. If tools do not talk to each other natively, you pay for a connector and the time to maintain it.
For a booked-call business, a cheaper page builder plus four add-ons often costs as much as an all-in-one and breaks more often. For a product seller, a strong checkout and an email tool may be all you need. Run the numbers for your funnel with our funnel conversion calculator before you decide that software price is the deciding factor. It rarely is.
9. Mistakes When Choosing a Funnel Builder
- Choosing on templates. Templates are the easiest thing to replace. The CRM, automation and tracking are what you will live with.
- Choosing for today's volume. A tool that works at 50 leads a month may not work at 2,000. Think a year ahead.
- Forgetting the team. If closers or front-desk staff work leads, the platform needs a usable inbox, pipeline and mobile app.
- Ignoring data ownership. Keep your domain, ad account and contact list in your own name, whatever you build on.
- Assuming the tool will fix the offer. No builder rescues a weak offer. Switching platforms is rarely the fix when the funnel is not converting.
If you are still unsure, our comparison hub has head-to-head pages for the most common choices.
10. Decision Table by Business Type
| Business | Funnel ends in | Our pick |
|---|---|---|
| Roofing, HVAC, solar, home services | Quote call | GoHighLevel |
| Med spas, dentists, clinics | Appointment | GoHighLevel |
| Coaches and consultants (high ticket) | Application and call | GoHighLevel |
| Info products and low-ticket offers | Checkout with upsells | ClickFunnels, with GoHighLevel for follow-up |
| Solo creators validating an idea | Email list or small product | Systeme.io |
| Course and membership businesses | Course access | Kajabi |
| B2B SaaS with a sales team | Demo | HubSpot or GoHighLevel |
The builder matters less than what you build on it. The same structure that produced our $1.52M high-ticket result would work on more than one of these platforms. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best funnel builder in 2026?
For booked-call lead generation we pick GoHighLevel because the CRM, SMS, calendar and automation live in one account. For low-ticket product funnels with order bumps and upsells, ClickFunnels has the stronger checkout. Solo creators on a tight budget get the most value from Systeme.io, and course businesses often prefer Kajabi.
Is there a free funnel builder worth using?
Systeme.io offers a free plan, which is enough to build a first funnel, collect emails and sell a simple product. It is a good way to validate an offer. Most businesses outgrow it once they need SMS, a sales pipeline, advanced automation or multiple team members working leads.
Is GoHighLevel better than ClickFunnels?
For lead generation, usually yes, because follow-up decides results and GoHighLevel includes it. For pure product funnels, ClickFunnels' checkout, order bumps and one-click upsells are more polished. Many of our product clients run the checkout on ClickFunnels and the follow-up and backend in GoHighLevel.
Do funnel builders include SMS and email costs?
Usually not in full. Most platforms bill SMS, phone minutes and sometimes email sends as usage on top of the plan price. Budget for usage from the start, especially if you plan to run instant text follow-up and reminders, which are worth the cost but scale with lead volume.
Can I switch funnel builders later?
Yes, but it costs time. Pages are easy to rebuild. Contacts, pipelines, automations, payment subscriptions and tracking are what make a migration painful. Choose based on where your business will be in a year, not where it is today, and keep ownership of your domain, ad account and customer data.
Which funnel builder is best for tracking ad conversions?
Any of them can fire a browser pixel. The difference is how easily you can send server-side events and pipeline stages back to Meta and Google. GoHighLevel and HubSpot make stage-based events straightforward. Whatever you choose, add the Conversions API, which recovered 31% more events in our builds.
